The MyFunTeacher.com website was designed as a way for me to communicate with my students and their families. It has grown from a single page of basic information into what you see today.
Thank you to everyone who visits our site and a special thank you to the people who feel MyFunTeacher.com deserves an award or kind email. I happily and proudly display these website awards and emails of encouragement!

Congratulations! You have won my award for an Outstanding Classroom website! Your site is incredible! I learned so much from just browsing around in just a few minutes. I'm sure that your students and their parents are very grateful to you for all of your hard work and effort! Not many teachers put out that kind of time and energy, so that shows how good of a teacher you are! Keep up the great work!
Thank you for inviting me into your WONDERFUL Third Grade Classroom! I really enjoyed your student web pages! I am impressed you learned web design on your own through Dreamweaver. I, myself, learned web design through Frontpage on my own. Thousands of hours went into learning how to link, fill a template, Photoshop, etc. The satisfaction that comes from creating a masterpiece that helps others feels GREAT! I would be honored to award you with our classroom A+ Award. Great work! Many blessings as you journey through the 2008-2009 school year! Happy New Year!
PLEASE accept my award as I was hoping you would apply but I am so in love with all your work that I just have to give it to you if you want it or not (lol). I am in total awe of your Website and found myself visiting and coveting your work! GREAT JOB... IT WAS TOADALLY AWESOME!

Congratulations! Your web site has been selected to win a Web Works Site Award. I have chosen your site to be a worthy of our " Designs Award ". What is the purpose of this award?
It is to signify that your site has been judged to contain quality content,
design and/or HTML expertise.
What is my reason for giving awards?
To give credit where credit is due. I know and you probably know that it
takes a lot of time and effort to create a quality site. For this reason, I
feel everyone who has achieved his or her goal of maintaining an overall "Cool" site deserves at the least, a badge of honor. The badge of honor I
have to offer is the Web Works Site Award.
JenuineTech's Site of the Month! Miss Powell's Website welcomes you with bright graphics
purchased from Thistle Girl Designs and the look continues
throughout the website.
Just after you enter the page, you will see that she has links
for student pages!! Take a look at these pages. It will be
great for her, for her students, the parents, and others to
watch these sites grow during the year.
She has a project that I would invite to perhaps create on
your own pages. It is called the NFL Club (Never Finished
Learning). Please contact Miss Powell for more information.
Her page is very inviting and answers any and all the
questions her students (and parents) might have. Take
time to visit her ABOUT page.
Great page, Miss Powell!! Keep up the good work!!

I just wanted to send you KUDOs on your wonderful website! I am in the process of trying to put one together for my classroom - I teach 5th grade in Sparks, NV - and I came across your website. It is by far the best I've seen. I am looking into different options for constructing my website. I am by no means "an expert" as you seem to be. Thank you so much for all of your hard work. I'm sure the children and their parents love and appreciate all that you do!
Sincerely,

A while back you submitted a request for the Kids Online 101% award. I had
taken a very long break from the site and am just now trying to get things
caught back up. I visited your site (finally) and thought you did a superb
job! Everything looked great!
Aloha!
We have some great news concerning your recent submission for the
Aloha Award. All of us agreed that you truly do have a interesting web site with
quality content and design. The Aloha Award is not an easy award to win. That is why this award
is seen so infrequently.
Proudly display the Aloha Award to let others know that your Web site
is informative, unique and has won this prestigious award.
Congratulations and Aloha,

Allow me to introduce myself. My name is Alyssa, but my friends on the internet call me Lissy. I work at an elementary school in a small town in Georgia. I'm a Teacher's Assistant and I work with children in the first grade. I was searching the internet for some things that might help my first grade friends study their sight words when I stumbled across your website! (Okay, so I didn't really "stumble" since I wasn't really walking - I'm sitting in my bedroom at home! - but I did find your site by accident.) I thought the colors and characters were so bright and attractive! I just couldn't help taking a closer look.
What a neat idea! Each of you have your own page to display your work. Now that is something to be proud of! I can't tell you how much I enjoyed reading what you wrote. I especially liked the instructions for eating Oreos. I love those things! And, yes, I like to dip them in milk also. I recently learned a new way to eat Oreos. Perhaps you'd like to have an adult help you with this easy recipe sometime. (Click here for the recipe.) I hope you like this Oreo treat as much as I liked your wonderful writing!
Thanks so much for sharing.
Your friend,
Lissy in

I have added your name to my list of award winners on my classroom site, http://www.mrsvandyke.com. Congratulations!

Upon browsing for activity ideas, I came across your wonderful web page! I am a second grade teacher in Beatrice, Nebraska. This is only my second
year of teaching and last year I taught Kindergarten so I'm always
searching for 2nd grade ideas. I loved many of your writing samples and
project ideas. Thanks for taking the time to put together a wonderful site
of information that we "rookies" can get inspiration from!
Happy Holidays!

I am a "sorta retired" teacher but I think all teachers never lose their "class"! I used to teach in Champaign, IL, (East central IL) but moved recently to Mills River, NC near Asheville, NC.
Your website is fantastic!
Everything is fun, exciting, bold, yet easy to read. That is my biggest criticism of websites. They have such cute backgrounds that you can't read the material... not yours!!!
Keep up the good work!
Thanks,

Your website is fantastic! In fact, I never have seen a better one anywhere. Your students worked so hard on their stories. I want my second-graders to see what great writers they are. Thank you for posting their work for everyone to share and enjoy.
