Mad Science

Asteroid Adam came to our class. He talked about rocks. They where cool rocks. One rock had a lot of crystals. One rock was a lava rock. That was cool too.

Asteroid Adam talked about earthquakes and a little bit about the earth. He told us about a scale that they use. The kind of rocks he told us about were igneous rocks, metamorphic rocks, conglomerate rocks, and sedimentary rocks.

I had a good time learning about the earth, earthquakes, and other kinds of rocks. He said the earth had a name. It was the crust of the earth and it was a couple of miles thick.

Asteroid Adam let us make detectors that tells you if you need sunscreen. They glow in light. The Mad Science guy was cool. I liked him. He came to our class last year. He talked about a lot of stuff. Most of his stuff was interesting. Miss Powell took notes. There was this thing he used to measure earthquakes. He took measurements. He called us silly names.

Picking Up Rocks

I help my dad almost every weekend.  I get paid to pick up rocks.  I don’t pick up rocks before my dad mows.  I pick up rocks after my dad mows.  I get paid two dollars.  I have almost $140!  I am saving up and putting my money in the bank.  That’s where it should be.  I pick up rocks when there are no bees out in the bush, but when there are bees out in the bush I don’t pick up rocks.  I like helping my family.  It is a lot of fun to do!

The Oreo Stack

The Oreo stack was super fun. I enjoyed it. I got 24 cookies total  I did 12 in my first stack and 12 in my second stack. We were with partners. It was a blast! My partners were  Chad,  Taryn and Jacob. Jacob and Taryn stacked the most. I stacked the least. I accidentally bumped the table and the cookies fell.

The Front of the School

In the front of the school is a sidewalk, a parking lot, and a big circle that you can lay in. There are some bushes underneath a big fat tree that is nice. The front of the school looks nice. I like the front of the school.

What I Want to Learn in Third Grade

I hope I have fun in third grade.  I hear it is supposed to be fun.  My teacher is really nice.  She was nice last year.  I like my teacher.
