Asteroid Adam

Asteroid Adam came to class on October 6, 2008. It was exciting! He talked about rocks, earthquakes, volcanoes, and earthworks.

He also talked about lava and magma. Lava is outside a volcano and magma is inside.

Last of all he talked about geodes. Geodes are rocks. If you cut it in half it is all crystal inside.

It was a fun day but he had to go.

When I Help People

When I help people I don’t argue.  I stay quiet and share stuff. When people help me they help me with homework, video games, and other stuff. When I don’t help people I yell, or argue, but sometimes I don’t argue. When people don’t help they don’t help with anything.

The Oreo Challenge

We stacked cookies. The cookies were Oreos. Someone named Kobe stacked 32 Oreos. I stacked 35. First we guessed and then when we were done we filled out a paper with the exact one. We ate 3 Oreos. We ate them by splitting them in half. Then we chewed. Cody is Chad's brother. He helped us and he stacked him some himself. This activity was really fun. I would like to do it again!

The Front of the School

The front of the school is really green, even though we live in Nevada. The  front of the school has a lot of skinny trees and only one fat tree. There is an address on the building. There is one bush and four trees. The walls are blue. There is the name of the school. There is a person at the door.

Third Grade Things

I am excited about being in third grade.  I look forward to making friends and learning new things.  I want to become an excellent student by writing in cursive and learning division, geometry, and science.  I also look forward to seeing my old teacher from 2nd grade.  This year I am working extra hard in PE to earn an award.
