My Uncle Marat

My Uncle Marat is a nice uncle.  He is from a country called Russia.  In Russia people speak Russian.  Now Uncle Marat is here in the United States of America.  He lives in Las Vegas.  My uncle is married to my Aunt Kelly.

We don’t really get to hang out much but when we have special occasions we watch NASCAR together.  It’s not every weekend, just sometimes.  I love my Uncle Marat so much.

My Mom

My mom is very cool.  She is the best and coolest mom ever.  She can make me laugh.  She is fun to play with but she works a lot.  My mom works for the IRS.

My mom is a very nice mom.  I love my mom very much and my mom loves me too.  My mom rocks!  She is the best mom I could ever have in my whole life. 

My mom does nice things for me and I do nice things for her too.  I like to watch TV with her.  Our favorite show is “Deal or No Deal”.

My mom likes to exercise a lot.  She likes to exercise so much that she does it every morning. My mom is in really good shape.  I love my mom!

Field Day 2008

Chapter 1- The Morning

When the bell rang we did  the  Pledge of Allegiance. Then Amber sang the National Anthem. We  went  to  our classroom and dropped off our stuff. Then we talked about  Field Day. We lined up in our teams. Everybody was there except Ethan.

Chapter  2- The Games

When we got outside the games began. The  games were very fun. The whole school liked  the games. There were a lot of games to play. In the morning there were two things I liked: no specials and the Obstacle Course. That was a very fun thing. I liked it!

Spring Break

On Spring Break I went to Pole Position, the one next to The Palms.   It was a lot of fun even though I did not race.  I had a lot of fun watching the high school and college kids race around in go carts.  The go carts were electric go carts.  That was cool!

Field Trip Idea

Dear Miss Powell,

We should go to a farm.  It will teach us about the animals on the farm.  You get to see a lot of cool stuff on a farm, trust me!  You get to see all the different animals on the farm.  I have been to a farm only once.  It was fun.

Firefighter Garland

Firefighter Garland’s visit was awesome.  He was a good man.  I like the story that he read to our class.  It was called “Stop, Drop, and Roll”.  I learned about fire safety.  I hope he will visit our class another time.

Matt's Bedroom

My bedroom is blue.  It has lots of things in it.  I have a TV, a MV3 player, and a lot of small things.  I also have a real football.

Mrs. Nevada's Visit

Mrs. Nevada came to our class. She read us a book called "Stephanie's Ponytail".  I liked that book very much.  I enjoyed Mrs. Nevada coming in to our class and reading us a book.

Mrs. Nevada's crown was pretty.  It was the nicest crown I have ever seen in my whole life.  I think it is the best crown in the United States.

John

I liked the books John read to us yesterday.  The books were called "The Adventures of Taxi Dog" and "Where the Wild Things Are".  I thought they were great.  I thought they had good word choice and good voice.

John is a good car salesman and a good reader.  I found out that he is in a band.  He thinks he has shinier wheels than Miss Powell.  He might, but he doesn't have a phone or navigation in his car.

I was wondering if John does anything else besides play in a band.  Does he like NASCAR races since he sells cars?  I wonder if John goes to the movies with his friends.

A Banana

A banana is yellow.  It is shaped like a telephone. A banana grows as a little seed.  Bananas are good for you.  To eat a banana you peel it.  Bananas are part of the Healthy Choice Challenge.

The Snowflake

Hi!  I am the snowflake.  I fall from the sky and land on the ground.  Kids pick me up and do wild stuff to me.  They throw me around and have snowball fights.  They even make me into a snowman.

I like it when I fall from the sky.  When I touch the ground I get to see all my friends.  I also like it when they throw me.  I can see my friends falling from the sky.  I can smell the fresh air when I get thrown.

When the sun comes up I start to melt away but I get to see new friends.  I can see my friends on the ground or I see them being thrown by other people.  I like being snow.  It is fun.  I like being thrown around.

Miss Powell's New Car

Hi!  I am the Ford Edge.  Let me tell you a little story about myself.  I go very fast.  I can do a lot of cool stuff.  I can call anybody.  I have automatic seats.  Like I said, I do lots of cool stuff.

I just came from the dealership.  I am very shiny.  Miss Powell drives me a lot.  I am the coolest car ever!

My trip to Chicago was fun.  I got to do lots of stuff in Chicago.  I went to the Museum of Science and Industry.  That was so much fun.  I got to take home a little black toy train.

Thanksgiving Traditions

My family celebrates Thanksgiving by going to my Grandpa and Gramma's house.  We eat turkey and sweet potatoes.  Everyone in my family comes over to my Nana and Papa's.

Celebrating Hispanic Heritage Month

Mrs. Ramirez talked about the hot tacos in Mexico.  She also talked about the state of Mexico and the parts of Mexico.  She talked about a lot of stuff about Mexico. It was fun. 

She talked about the kings that controlled where people went to church.  He did it until the people decided that they can choose what church they wanted to go to when they feel like they need to go to church not when the king tells them to go to church.

The flan she made was great.  Mark's mom is nice.  I like Mark's mom. We got to eat the flan that Mark's mom brought in.  That was good.  Everyone liked the flan.

NASCAR

They drive in cool cars.  I like the cars that they drive in.  They race on the weekends on Saturday and Sunday.  When they race it is pretty cool and fun.  I like Tony Stewart.  He is a good and great driver.  He rocks!  I think he is cool and fun too.  When you watch on TV he drives the number 20.  He has three wins this year.

I liked the OREO Challenge.  That was fun.  I liked stacking the Oreos.  I stacked 17 Oreos on my first try.  I got to eat the Oreos.  I'm not the only one that got to eat the Oreos.  My whole class got to eat Oreos.  I worked with Mark and Erik and I worked with Bryce.  They got to stack and eat Oreos with me.

How to Eat an Oreo Cookie

1. Get the glass.

2. Get the milk.

3. Pour the milk.

4. Get the plate.

5. Get the cookies.

6. Get the cookie and dip it in the milk.

7. Eat the cookie.
