Pencil Person

I'm a pencil that's big and strong. Kids write with me and dogs chew on me. Cats hide me. What I like best is when the kids write with me. When kids write with me I share ink with them and they share erasers with me. Don't let toddlers play with me. Thank you!

My Mom

My mom is the best.  She makes me French Toast for breakfast.  My mom buys me a lot of books.  We read the books together.  My favorite book is “Going Around the World”.  It’s about a cat and mouse that are racing around the world.

My mom’s name is Susana.  She is tan, has brown eyes, and dark brown hair. My mom is pretty.  She wears pretty clothes.  I love my mom!

Spring Break

I spent my Spring Break at my cousin's house.  On Wednesday I pushed my dad in the pool.  My cousin Marco pushed me in the pool. My other two cousins, Carlos and Alan, did cannon balls.  That’s how I spent my Spring Break.

Field Trip Idea

Dear Miss Powell,

For a field trip we can go to Circus Circus.  That’s the best place to go.  They have the best rides in the whole world, in the universe.  Every one will be happy when we are there but sad when we leave.  Circus Circus has lots of places to go that are fun for everybody.

Firefighter Garland’s visit to our class was great.  He read us a book.  His book was funny.  It was called “Stop, Drop, and Roll”.

Mark's Bedroom

My room is filled with Poke’balls and Poke’mon action figures.  I have a twin size bed that has Poke’mon sheets and covers.  My pillow has a Poke’mon on it. 

On my night stand I have a lamp and master balls.  In my closet you will find my costume and Poke’mon clothes.  I watch Poke’mon every day.

The Egg-cellent Fashion Show

It was the day, the day when I did the Egg-cellent Fashion Show. I made bugs. I made it at my house. My mom and trained dog helped me.

We had to make things that are different.

Egg Roll

When it was Egg Roll day we each took four eggs and rolled them.  Some of my eggs went really far.  It was fun!

This is how we did it.  First, we put the boys on one side of a really long paper and the girls were on the other side.  We took turns bowling the eggs.  The kids along the paper watched and marked the place where the egg rolled out.

Mrs. Nevada's Visit

Mrs. Nevada read to us for Reading Week.  She read us the book called "Stephanie's Ponytail".  It made me laugh when she kept moving her ponytail.

Mrs. Nevada's crown is very pretty.  It has lots of diamonds on it.  It looks nice.

John's Visit

I like the books John read to us.  "The Adventures of Taxi Dog" was the best book.  It was funny when the dog was wearing a disguise.

I learned that John sells cars.  He helped Miss Powell get the car she wanted.  I also found out that he is six feet four inches tall and he is 31 years old.

I wonder what kind of car John has.  I want to know what kind of tires he has because all tires are different.

Apples

Apples are fruits.  They are healthy for you.  This fruit comes in different colors like red, green, and yellow.  They all are yellow inside and have black seeds.  Apples have brown stems and green leaves.  They can be from three inches to five inches in size.  Apples are very good!

Snowflake

I'm a snowflake all shiny and small.  I landed at the North Pole, after I slowly fell from the sky. 

I can see Santa's workshop from here.  I can hear Santa's elves working on toys. 

The wind pushes me to the chimney and I melted.  After that I was part of the wind.

The Best New Car

I'm a Ford Edge and my name is Redbest Griffin.  I'm Miss Powell's new car.  I go 60 miles per hour.  That's so cool. I am the color light blue.

Thanksgiving Traditions

Three days before Thanksgiving my mom goes shopping for a turkey and ingredients for a special dinner.  In the morning of Thanksgiving my mom marinates the turkey. 

In the afternoon, my mom, my brothers and me are all in the kitchen cutting, mixing, cooking, and baking.  The smell of delicious food is all over the house. 

At night when everything is ready we sit around the dining table.  My dad cuts the turkey and my whole family and me enjoy our special dinner.

Mario vs. Bauzer

On October 5, 2007, in Marioworld, Mario and his friends had  a super big party.  I was invited but then Bauzer crashed the party.  Mario's friends were taken to the castle with hot lava.  Mario and Louigy went on a trip.  Mario went to sleep but Louigy went on.  Mario was in the woods.  Louigy was at the castle.  Louigy painted the way for Mario.  Mario and Louigy passed every level and got the friends.

Getting dressed is important because we are not allowed in public wearing pajamas.We need to protect our bodies from the weather.

It is important for me to brush my teeth so I don't get cavities. If I get cavities my teeth will fall out.

If I don't eat breakfast I can't concentrate at school. I eat breakfast to get big.

What job do you think will be important in the future?

A magician makes magic tricks. They do fun things.  You need to be very fast with your hands to be a magician.  Magicians are important because they make people laugh.

1. There is a place there like Circus Circus in Las Vegas and you can get ice cream when you are there.

2. You can ride in a boat on a river.

3. Some scary animals come out at night.

4. My grandma's house has lots of furniture and the TV talks in Spanish and English.

5. You can take a plane to get to Mexico.
