My Dad
My dad helps me a lot.
My dad is very smart.
My dad is funny.
My dad tucks me in at night.
My dad watches movies with me.
I have a little cousin. Her name is Miranda. Miranda is three years old. She has two crazy brothers, Christopher and Nick. They are nuts. They try to make Miranda take the blame for stuff they do wrong. One time they took out all of their toys and said Miranda did it. That would be impossible since she’s only a baby!
I like to go in Miranda’s jumpy house. We take off our shoes and jump, jump, jump! We always have fun!
I'm a pencil named Penny. My brother's name is Penten. We live at the PenPals. We go to school too. I wish that those children didn't make any mistakes. I get sea sick. My head and feet hurt from writing an erasing.
Last Friday was Field Day. We had orange shirts. I liked the Obstacle Course. In Wet n’Wild, Aalani and I got soaked! My dad was in charge of the 50 Yard Dash. My step dad was in charge of the Spoon Relay. My mom took lots of pictures. We had Golden Spoon. It was really good!
On Spring Break I helped my mom cook and clean because our family and friends were coming over for Easter. The party was fun. We played baseball, played with water guns, and ate a lot of desserts like banana cream pie. Uncle Chris made peach cake and I made cupcakes with green icing, peeps, and jelly beans. It was good!
I really think a good place to go is the farm because you can see and learn about the animals. A lot of people love little and big animals. We could learn about what to feed animals and how to ride them too. I hope you pick the farm.
Firefighter Garland came to our class. He read us a book called “Stop, Drop, and Roll”. We asked him questions about Station 11 and the tools that they use.
My room is light blue like Miss Powell’s car. I have a computer, a king sized bed, a TV, and a night stand. I have my own bathroom. My closet is the size of a store. I have a big closet that is white.
I have blue sheets and blue covers on my bed. I have a bunch of stuffed animals in one corner. I have light brown carpet. It is very soft. I have lots of drawers in my closet and lots of toys.
Yesterday we had a mystery reader. The clues were really easy! Most of us said it was the guy who sold Miss Powell her car. We were right! His name is John Bru.
John read two books. One book was called "Where the Wild Things Are". The other one was "Taxi Dog". "Where the Wild Things Are" was my favorite book. My mom used to read it to me when I was little.
John said he has a dog named Baby. John is in a band when he is not selling cars.
I'm curious to know what kind of dog Baby is. Is Baby a boy or a girl? How old is Baby? What color is Baby? Just wondering!
I brought two types of cookies. One has red sprinkles and one of them has frosting with sprinkles on top. They look really good! The one with red sprinkles is shaped like a heart. The white one is a circle.
It starts with a "g". It is orange. It is pink inside. Fruit is at the top and juice is at the bottom. You put sugar on top of me. I am very sweet and juicy. You scoop fruit off the sides. I am a grapefruit.
I'm a snowflake. My name is Suzzie. It hurts when we pile on top of each other. Plus after we melt, the children have snowball fights with us. Boy those children are heavy!
I'm Miss Powell's new car. She bought me at Ford Country. I'm really shiny. I have heated leather seats and a sunroof. I have a bumper that beeps when you get close to something. I also have 20 inch wheels. I think I'm the shiniest car in the world.
I went to New Mexico for Thanksgiving. I got to see a lot of my family. When I got home, Mom surprised me with a dog. Her name is Sage. A few weeks later it was Christmas Eve and Mom said she is going to have a baby!
My birthday is my perfect day. First I put on my party clothes. Next I eat my cake after they sing me happy birthday. Then I open my presents. Later I play with my presents.
I like to go to New Mexico. I like to go for Thanksgiving. I like to eat turkey too. Dad and my cousins love to watch football too. We also say grace before we eat. But my favorite part is that I like to eat the pumpkin pie.
On Friday in our classroom Mrs. Ramirez talked about Mexico. It was Hispanic Heritage Month. The next day Mrs. Ramirez brought flan. She talked about the Mexican food.
Once upon a time there was little kitty named Ella, her two wicked step sisters, and her step mom. They always made Ella do all of the things like doing the dishes and cleaning the litter boxes while they sat around the house chattering about the Prince's Yarn Ball he is throwing to find his Kitty Princess of Yarn.
"So you need to get started" said the step sisters.
"Can I go too?" asked Ella.
"Only if you finish everything you need to before the ball starts."
"How will I finish in time?" cried Ella.
That night was the night of the ball. The step sisters went out to the carriage. Ella cried so much that up popped a fairy godmother. "I wish I could go to the ball!" Then the godmother made a beautiful gown.
"Remember, my spells don't work after midnight."
So off Ella went….
chapter 2 - Glass Slipper
When Ella arrived at the Yarn Ball she danced until 12:00. When she ran out the huge door, the Prince tried to follow her but she ran too fast. When he looked down, he saw a slipper.
The next day, the Prince went to every kingdom and every cottage. Then he was heading toward Ella's house. When he knocked on the door, the step sisters tried on the slipper. The slipper was too big or too small. Then Ella said, "Can I?"
The Prince said, "Sure." When Ella tried on the slipper it was a perfect match.
So Ella and the Prince were King and Queen of Yarn and they lived happily ever after!
When I wake up the first thing I do is eat breakfast. Then I brush my teeth, brush my hair, and get dressed. This is important because I need to look nice for school.
What job do you think will be important in the future?
President
For the job you will need to know math and how to not be shy. You have to get used to traveling. You also have to be a good reader and be brave and strong and a very good leader.
